JMI Unit II

In response to the very promising prospect for the domestic and international sea transportation and shipping industry. PT. Jasa Marina Indah commenced construction of the ship yard unit II, at Port Tanjung Emas, Semarang, which has four times larger and bigger capacity than unit I.

When fully completed, the graving dock at unit II will cover an area 8.3 hectares and will accommodate large vessels measuring up to 20,000 DWT. However, the building dock, which is already completed, will still be able to accommodate vessels measuring up to 30, 000 DWT. The 465 meters concrete pier will support shipyard demand for floating repair and maintenance before and after docking as well as the finishing of new vessels subsequent to their launching. Shipyard equipment was enhanced gradually through acquisition of a 150 ton mobile crane, 32 ton tower crane, forklift, trailer, press machines, drilling machines, automatic gas cutting machine, etc.
