Responsibilities

  • Meet Corporate legal objectives
  • Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
  • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
  • Guide management and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Evaluating and weighing multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action
  • Develop company policy and position on legal matters
  • Structure, draft and administer contracts and other legal documents
  • Negotiate deals and attend to company meetings
  • Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes

Requirement

  • Corporate law firm experience in business environment
  • Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)
  • In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations
  • Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to “see around the corner”
  • Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives
  • Excellent negotiation and communications skills
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills, Administrative and managerial skills
  • BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree or MA or BSc in Business Administration will be considered an asset
