Responsibilities
- Meet Corporate legal objectives
- Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
- Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
- Guide management and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
- Evaluating and weighing multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action
- Develop company policy and position on legal matters
- Structure, draft and administer contracts and other legal documents
- Negotiate deals and attend to company meetings
- Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)
- Keep abreast of legislative changes
Requirement
- Corporate law firm experience in business environment
- Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)
- In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations
- Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to “see around the corner”
- Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives
- Excellent negotiation and communications skills
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
- Excellent judgement and analytical skills
- Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
- Computer skills, Administrative and managerial skills
- BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree or MA or BSc in Business Administration will be considered an asset
