Description
Diverter Systems
Dril-Quip's Diverter Systems provide field-proven protection from shallow gas. Dril-Quip offers Diverter designs for land rigs (ADS), jack-up, platform (MD Diverter System) and floating drilling operations (MDF Diverter System). The Dril-Quip Diverter minimizes the number of mechanical and hydraulic connections required for installation to facilitate ease of operations.
- Available in rotary sizes up to 72" for floating drilling vessels
- Standard 2,000 psi working pressure eliminates the need for low pressure components
- A permanent diverter housing attached under the rotary table eliminates mechanical connections of the flowline and accessory lines, and expedites rig operations
- Diverter Assembly is run through the rotary table
- All diverter components positively oriented to assure outlet alignment
- Seals on hard-faced surfaces isolate outlets and are automatically energized when diverter assembly is landed
- Various sized diverter elements provide complete BOP protection while drilling or running casing
- Diverter elements provided in storage containers for protection and easy handling
- Packer elements installed and retrieved like split rotary bushings
- Installation/test tool provided for diverter handling and testing of line seals, packer elements and valve
- Minimum inside diameter of 27-1/2" (including secondary housing) allows use of 26" bit
- Run or retrieve diverter, spacer spool and overshot packer assembly without having to connect or disconnect flowline and fill-up lines
- Diverter, spacer spool and overshot packer run through a rotary table
- Hydraulic overshot packers eliminate the nipple-up time normally required with flanges or hubs
- Fully testable Connectors provide fast make up of riser spool and overshot packer
- Insert packers provide protection while drilling and during casing installation
- Secondary housing available to position discharge line at desired elevation
- All floating diverter housings have an external SDL ring latch groove
- Diverter assemblies for floating drilling vessels can be equipped with an integral flex joint or ball joint and any standard riser connection down
- Field-proven performance
