PT Tempuran Emas was established on September 17, 1987, and is the first company in Indonesia that pioneered in marine shipping service for goods in container. The Company demonstrates its excellence and qualification in container transportation and stevedoring service and management on national scale. This is supported by its subsidiaries and solid affiliation. The Company further solidifies its business engagement and new milestone through the declaration of TEMAS Line as listed company in 2003. By listing shares with ticker code TMAS in the stock exchange, the Company issued 451,000,000 shares on June 25, 2003. On July 9, 2003, TEMAS Line officially operated as the first national container shipping company listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange and changed its name to PT Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk.

A pioneer in national shipping industry, the Company started its containers shipping operation with rented vessel. As the business continues to expand, the Company strives to improve its performance, enhance its competency, augment its vessel units and expand its service coverage to become a leading company in Indonesia shipping industry with modern vessels and port owned and operated by the Company. The other advantages of TEMAS Line include the facility of heavy equipment to support container stevedoring activities, such as HMK 260E Harbour Mobile Crane (HMC), Empty Container Handler and Container Forklift to ensure efficiency and timeliness of shipping.

Always keeping up with the dynamic development of national shipping industry, the Company continues to develop its service types and coverage toward shipping management, agency, stevedoring and warehousing. As a form of integrated service, four Subsidiaries now supports the Company, namely: PT Perusahaan Bongkar Muat Olah Jasa Trisari Andal which engages in stevedoring and related services; PT Pelayaran Tirtamas Express which engages in shipping service; Anemi Maritime Co. Ltd (Anemi) which engages in container management; and PT Escorindo which engages in stevedoring service.  The Company strives to expand its coverage throughout all areas in Indonesia. Until the end of 2014, the Company has 11 (eleven) branch offices in Jakarta, Ambon, Banjarmasin, Belawan, Bitung, Jayapura, Makassar, Pekanbaru, Pontianak, Surabaya and Sorong, as well as 7 (seven) agency units in Batam, Kupang, Biak, Palembang, Samarinda, Manokwari and Dumai.

In 2013, the Company purchased another 2,500 units of food grade container to transport food, drinks and pharmaceutical products to improve and increase the service quality to the customers. In 2014, 1 vessel unit with the capacity of 1,560 TEUs was added, as well as 4,000 container units. Therefore, at the end of the year, the Company had improved its shipping sector with a total of 22 vessel units and the capacity of 12,838 TEUs, as well as a total of 24.854 units of container. 

Services

TEMASLINE offers one stop service in providing services to customers throughout Indonesia Archipelago. Beside sea transportation service, other services provided by TEMASLINE are Sea Transportation/Shipping, Ship ManagementShipping AgencyStevedoringDepot Management, and Logistic service.

SHIPPING

TEMASLINE activity, particularly in sea transportation, provides goods delivery service in containers. The services are in some main ports in Indonesia, with Jakarta and Surabaya as the central ports. Some commodities that are containerized such as rice, flour, sugar, cement, and other general cargo. These commodities were used to be shipped by using general cargo ship and performed by bulk. However, for security, efficiency and effective reasons, the shipment nowadays using containers.

SHIPPING MANAGEMENT 

Shipping Management activity conducted by TEMASLINE is performed by PT. Temas Shipping. The service provided by PT. Temas Shipping is solely intended to give full support to TEMASLINE in providing a fit and seaworthy fleet. Providing good quality crew, spare parts, and other provisions to the fleet, and compliance to standard of safety and shipping rules and regulation by certification are some activities performed by PT. Temas Shipping as shipping management to TEMASLINE’s fleet. To support its activity, PT. Temas Shipping has implemented a ship management system called GL Ship Manager. By implement the system, management process to the fleet is expected to be more integrated, effective and efficient. Other than ship management system, PT. Temas Shipping also has implemented a tracking and monitoring system to monitor the existence and performance of TEMASLINE’s Fleet. With the availability of fit and seaworthy fleet provided by PT. Temas Shipping, TEMASLINE will be confidently providing the best service to the customers.  

AGENCY

Agency service is one of TEMASLINE’s service consist of shipping agency for domestic and foreign ships, supported by our experienced personnel throughout Indonesia.  We are growing and expanding our businesses in Indonesia by providing a full range of shipping agency for all types of vessels such as container vessels, break bulk vessels, general cargo vessels, bulk vessels, ro ro vessels, tanker vessels, and others.

 

STEVEDORING

TEMASLINE put high value of time of its customers. Therefore, the commitment in on-time service is a value added that can be given to the customers. This is also included in stevedoring activity in port. Delivery goods in containers by sea transportation are inseparable with stevedoring activity in port. In order to give stevedoring service in port, TEMASLINE synergizes with its subsidiary, PT. Temas Port. Relying on proper container handling equipment to support stevedoring activity in port, TEMASLINE can deliver effective services so that time of loading and discharging activity can be more efficient.  Some of container handling equipments owned by PT. Temas Port is Harbor Mobile Crane, Reachstacker, Side Loader, and Forklift. All these equipments, together with their experienced operator, are ready to serve TEMASLINE’s Fleet when they are arriving in port.  To add value of the company, PT. Temas Port serves not only TEMASLINE’s Fleet, but also other ships from other shipping company.  With upholding safety and high productivity TEMASLINE and PT. Temas Port are ready to handle the cargoes of the customers effectively, for we put high value on your time.

DEPOT MANAGEMENT 

PT. Temas Depot is a subsidiary company of TEMASLINE who performs container depot management. Depot management is needed to ensure that numbers of available containers are sufficient and the containers are ready to be used at all time. Some activities in Depot Management are stuffing and stripping, container repair, container cleaning that has been returned by customer, and rental of the container handling equipment. With integrated depot management, TEMASLINE have no worries that the customers will face obstacle of container needs. In order to achieve this, TEMASLINE has implemented an integrated system called TEMAS ACCURATE. By implemented this system, human error can be minimized and the process can be monitored so that the service in depot can be in optimized.  Depot Management with international standard is implemented by PT. Temas Depot. The goal is so that the service provide can have value added and can be performed more effectively and more efficiently.

LOGISTIC

To make one stop service, TEMASLINE is collaborating with one of its affiliation, PT. Temas Suzue Indonesia, which has role as forwarder in goods delivery. PT. Temas Suzue Indonesia, which is great collaboration between Japanese Technology and management system with strong Indonesian culture, provides logistic service from production and aftermarket with Lower distribution costs and reduces supply chain complexity.
