What is a Simple Product?

Simple products are products that do not have different types or characteristics, so buyers cannot choose different variations on different products.

The following image is an example of a product simple in the marketplace.

To create a simple product, go to Vendor Dashboard > Products > Add New

  1. Choose a simple product and you are not required to check Catalog, Virtual and Downloadable.
  2. Then, add the product name according to the product after that add the price.
  3. If the product you are selling has a discounted price, then enter the discount price and you can set the time limit for the discounted price.
  4. Fill in a short description of the product in the top column and add a description in the bottom column in detail about the product specs to be sell.
  5. Add product images according to the product to be sell.
  6. Select a category from the type of product, the availability of the product to be sell and the location of the product. If no location matches the product location, you can add a new location.
  7. Select the market category, product certificate, and vendor type. If the product certificate does not match, you can add a new certificate.

  1. Select the condition of the goods. If the condition of the goods does not match, you can add a new condition of the goods.
  2. You can set product visibility according to the following list:
  • Shop and search results

Products can be seen on the vendor page and products can appear in search results.

  • Shop only

Products cannot appear in search results but products can be seen on the vendor page only.

  • Search results only

The product cannot appear on the vendor page but the product can appear in search results.

  • Hidden

The product cannot be seen on the vendor page and in search results, but can only be seen if it has the link.

  1. Click Inventory and fill in the following fields:
  • Enter the SKU code according to the product to be entered,
  • Activate the stock management feature so you can increase the number of available stock items,
  • You can activate the backorder feature that aims to order goods when the inventory runs out,
  • You can activate the sold individually feature which aims to make the product can only be sold individually.

  1. Click shipping and fill in the following fields:
  • Weight (kg)
  • Dimensions (cm): Length, Width, Height
  • Processing Time.

  1. Click tax and you can choose a tax class according to the product being sold.

  1. Click attributes and activate the product type then select the product type that matches the item.

  1. Click linked and fill in the following fields:
  • Up-sells

This feature serves to display the products that you recommend under the products that you will make.

  • Cross-sells

This feature serves to display the products you recommend in the shopping cart.

  1. Click SEO and fill in the following fields:
  • Enter a focus keyword

Enter keywords related to products that are useful for displaying your product on Google search engines according to the keywords that buyers are looking for.

  • Meta description

Enter a description of the product you are selling so that the description will appear on Google search engines.

  1. Click Additional Information and fill in the following fields:
  • Choose Text Button Specifications

Select the name of the button that corresponds to the pdf file to be shared.

  • External Link Product Specifications (*Pdf File)

This link is to explain specifications about a product via pdf.

  • External Link Product Video YouTube

This link is to explain specifications about a product through a video sourced from YouTube.

  • Link Certificate (*Pdf File)

This link is to display the certificate document as proof that the item is certified.

  • Coupon Code

Enter the coupon code that has been created.

  • Discount %

Enter the total discount.

  • Products & Services Terms & Conditions

Choose the terms and conditions of the product & service according to the item being sell.

  1. Click product rules and fill in the following fields:
  • Policy tab label

Enter a title to change the policy tab label title.

  • Shipping policy

Write down the rules regarding the delivery of goods.

  • Refund policy

Write down the rules regarding the return of goods.

  • Cancellation/Return/Exchange Policy

Write the rules regarding the cancellation of goods.

  1. Click zoom and activate zoom if the type of product being sell is a zoom meeting.

  1. Check again the data that has been entered, if it is appropriate click submit.
